About Rev. Amy:

Reverend Amy Moses-Lagos is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist.  Her childhood was shaped by her experience growing up in a small intergenerational Unitarian Universalist fellowship in Springfield, Illinois. Prior to entering seminary she worked as a paralegal in immigration law, in Harlingen, Texas and later in San Francisco.  She received her Masters of Divinity degree from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, California in May 2011. She completed her ministerial internship at the Mt. Diablo UU Church in Walnut Creek, California, and also served for one year as the Family Minister at the UU Church of Berkeley.  The First UU Society of San Francisco ordained her in March of 2014.

Amy moved to Seattle with her husband Ricardo and son Carlos in 2014. She is currently serving two congregations. She is the half-time minister here at Buckman Bridge Unitarian Universalist Church. She is also the quarter-time minister at Free Church Unitarian in Blaine, Washington. She is actively involved in the Parent Teacher Association at her son’s elementary school, advocating for equity diversity and inclusion in Seattle schools. In the summer she loves swimming in Lake Washington and in the winter she enjoys snowboarding in the Cascade mountains. She also loves reading, especially mysteries. Some of her favorite authors are Kate Atkinson, Gillian Flynn and Ruth Ware. Favorite TV shows include Game of Thrones, Broadchurch, Rectify and Friday Night Lights. Reverend Amy is excited about the vibrant worship, pastoral care, social justice and youth and children ministries at Buckman Bridge Unitarian Universalist Church. She looks forward to getting to know the members of the congregation and nurturing meaningful engagement in all areas of congregational life.
