“Outlawing Jelly Beans, and Other Injustices”

Worship Leaders: Alyssa Halliday
Accompanist: Dr. Gary Smart
Special Music by Linda Crawford and Eileen Morrison and Ellen Miceli

How do we use our power? How do we respond to injustice? In this Family Worship service, based on the story “The Duke Who Outlawed Jelly Beans” by Johnny Valentine, a pompous and power-hungry duke is gently put in his place by the people in his kingdom. When we use our shared power in the name of love, we can overcome almost any obstacle.

About our special musicians:
Linda Crawford, Eileen Morrison and Ellen Miceli comprise Voices in Harmony.

Linda has been singing, solo and in groups, since she was a little girl. She is delighted to have found two lovely and talented musicians to perform with.

Eileen has been singing and playing the piano since she was in third grade.   It is so comforting and inspiring for her to find others who share her love of music. Her most recent career is being a Realtor.

Ellen accompanies the group. She started playing piano at age 8.  She feels fortunate to have found a way to feed her spirit as an accompanist and enjoys being part of this trio.
