This Week’s Lessons and Upcoming Activities

Spirit Play (3.5 yrs – Kg):  Hide and Seek with God

Once upon a time, the Mystery that some people call God said, “I’m bored.  I want to play with my friends.  Let’s play hide-and-seek. “The friends all said, “Yeah!”  They knew that hide-and-seek with the Mystery that some people call God was always exciting and different because God was the one who hid, and God always thought of wonderful places to hide.  Through this story our kids learn that God can mean many things to different people and that God can be found in many different places and things

Wondering questions: I wonder if you have ever seen any of this before?

Spirit Explorers (1st– 2nd): Small Fry

Yearn to Accept and Learn About Ourselves, Others, and the Mystery

All day Small Fry and the other fish swam in circles, round and round in their small pond, each fish moving at the same time, each in the same direction. His friend, Frog, told strange stories about wonderful creatures that flew in the air and large creatures that walked on land.  Like all the other pond fish, Small Fry believed there was nothing beyond the pond.  In fact, he didn’t believe in land, sky, trees, or flowers.  He thought that when Frog disappeared, he was just hiding in another part of the pond.  Frog sends the Great Bird of the Mountain to carry Small Fry above the pond so that he can see the wide world for himself.  But when he comes back and tells the other fish about it, they don’t believe him.
